THE HANSON'S DREAM HOME MAKES INCREDIBLE PROGRESS
As you all know back in December last year Brad & Rhi signed the contracts to be proud owners of their very own house.
Years of hard graft had finally paid off and their dream home they have longed for was one step closer. The 100 year old property was in dire need of some love, and that’s exactly what the Bald family and friends has given it over the last few months.
The Hanson’s have actively been living in the house while works have taken place. The house has been transformed at an incredibly fast pace every week, with Brad heading up the project manager role.
Rooms have been changed around and redesigned to accommodate The Hanson family of five soon to be six, with a little bundle of joy due in July.
Carefully selected skilled Plumbers, Electricians, Roofers, Painters,Bricklayers, Carpenters and Window Fitters amongst other trades have descended on the house, and have all brought individual brilliance to the project. Helping turn this run down house into a home that the Hanson’s will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
This project was originally scheduled for completion in around 18 months. But as soon as the works started Brad had a vision and a goal. This was to get the house completed for when the new addition to the family arrives.
The journey has been remarkable and if you haven’t seen all the goings on you can on all of our social media channels Facebook,Instagram and Tik Tok. We also have two episodes of Keeping Up With The Baldies go up on our YouTube every week. This channel gives an insight into everything we do and is a very enjoyable watch.
As a family have been fortunate enough to have some big companies work alongside us on the Hanson Home Project. Diykitchens.com, V4 Wood Flooring,Quick Slide,Doncaster Cables, Tops Tiles,LPD Doors, Plaster Ceiling Roses,MDF Store and JJ Roofing Supplies . The customer service and products supplied by all of these guys has been second to none, a real pleasure to work with all of them from start to finish.
During this renovation Sam has also had some amazing news. he has signed contracts on his very own place. The team are already looking forward to getting their teeth stuck into his home next.
Elsewhere Char’s Cafe & Coffee Drive Thru goes from strength to strength. With the weather now improving we look forward to seeing you all down there soon. You can grab a Coffee or a bite to eat in beautiful surroundings.
New pathways have been installed outside the Cafe meaning it's easier access for the general public now, and It's only 5 minutes from Climping beach! A nice pit stop before you head to the beach(you can even bring your dogs).
in March we had some exciting news when we learned that Brad and Sam had been nominated for an award at The ARIAS awards.
Brad & Sam along with Jack and John producers of their show at Fix Radio discovered that The Bald Builders Breakfast Show had been shortlisted for the award of "Best New Radio Show".
The ARIAS are classed as the Oscars of UK Radio. The awards show recognition to talented individuals and teams in UK audio and Radio, who continually excel in their craft and produce the best work in the World.
It's a phenomenal achievement to be nominated for awards that had over 1000 entries.The Awards ceremony takes place on 2nd May at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London. Its hosted by television personality Rylan Clark and singer Fleur East.
The Fix Radio team are rightfully bursting with pride at this nomination, having worked so hard over the last year. To actually win the award would be the icing on the cake. Have your fingers and toes crossed for Brad,Sam,Jack and John.
